What is FlexiMiles?

FlexiMiles is the TopCar rate for travellers who plan to stay close to their accommodation — hotel, apartment or private house — and drive little. You pick the car up at Lanzarote Airport and return it there; in between it's yours for the whole week from €49, with basic insurance and 80 km included.

If your holiday is mostly pool, beach and hotel, you shouldn't pay for unlimited mileage you'll never use. With FlexiMiles you pay only €0.95 per km if you go beyond 80 km — and the car is there whenever you feel like a trip.

In short: the freedom of having your own car all week, at the price of a holiday spent relaxing.

What is FlexiMiles?
FlexiMiles is a special TopCar rate for travellers who stay near their accommodation (hotel, apartment or house) and barely drive. You collect the car at Lanzarote Airport and return it there; in between it's yours all week from €49, with basic insurance and 80 km included. You only pay €0.95 per km if you drive beyond 80 km.
How is it different from TopCar's standard rate?
The standard Unlimited rate has unlimited kilometres, variable pricing and all car groups — ideal for touring the island. FlexiMiles is a fixed low price for groups A and B with 80 km included and €0.95 per extra km — ideal for a relaxed stay where you drive little.
What is included?
Basic insurance (CDW), IGIC taxes, 80 km, baby/child seats, 2 hours of courtesy on pick-up and return, free cancellation and no prepayment. All vehicles have manual transmission.
What if I drive more than 80 km?
You pay €0.95 per extra kilometre, charged on return. No other surprises.
Where do I pick up the car?
At the TopCar desk inside Lanzarote Airport. TopCar is the largest car-rental operator at the Canary Islands airports, so there is no shuttle bus to a remote car park at pick-up or drop-off.
Can I cancel?
Yes. Cancellation is free and there is no prepayment when you request the car.
Insurance and deposit?
Basic insurance (CDW) is included. The excess is the maximum you are liable for if there is damage: up to €900.00 on groups A and B. Super Cover is an optional TopCar coverage that brings that excess down to €0.00 (a one-time €20 for the whole rental). Deposit (groups A and B), at pick-up: without Super Cover it is €900.00 — by a pre-authorisation (a hold that temporarily reduces your available credit) on a credit card, and by an actual charge on a debit card; it is released or refunded after you return the car with no issues. With Super Cover, the deposit is €0.00 on a credit card and €200.00 (refundable) on a debit card. Requesting the car online involves no upfront payment.
What is Super Cover and what does it cover?
Super Cover is an exclusive TopCar coverage that removes your excess. Covered, with no excess: tyres, rims & punctures; mirrors, wing mirrors, glass & windows; lights; roadside assistance & towing; cosmetic bodywork damage. Not covered: negligence, the interior, keys, the underbody or mechanical components. It normally costs €7/day — more in higher categories; with FlexiMiles, on groups A and B it's a one-off €20 for the whole rental. It brings your excess down to €0.00 (from up to €900.00 on groups A and B) and reduces your deposit. The deposit is charged to your card at pick-up and refunded in full when you return the car undamaged: without Super Cover it is €900.00; with Super Cover it is €0.00 on a credit card and €200.00 on a debit card.
Who can drive and for how long?
Minimum driver age 21 with a licence held for at least 3 years (21–24: €12/day young-driver fee). Maximum rental 14 days, for pick-ups between 25 May and 3 June 2026 at Lanzarote Airport only.
